THE VICTORY THAT FAITH BRINGS

So much of the preaching we hear in our day and age and it’s so noticeable as one looks on “Facebook”, “YouTube” etc is not specifically designed to keep congregations in a state of “need” or “living with a fortress mentality” or “living in mediocrity” but because it is so “gentle, un-offensive, vanilla and all about the ordinary” and maintaining (numbers / status quo) it results in Gods People believing that’s it’s their destiny and the way things are – Well! I’m here to say that its wrong.

Gods Man and His Work and Preparation

The Word of God, the Bible is within the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ to be the “final voice of authority” in all matters. I hope we can agree with that. If not, then some soul searching is required. In light of His Voice being the “Final Authority” and our subject matter today – Gods Man and His Work of Preparation – the opinion that God in His Word provides for us is of the utmost importance.

TODAY

The old Beatles song lyrics say “Yesterday all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they’re here to stay. Oh, I believe in yesterday. Suddenly I’m not half the man I used to be There’s a shadow hangin’ over me. Oh, yesterday came suddenly”

These words typify the experience of many as they awake in the morning – Perhaps even this very morning for some.

The Workers Commission

It is of importance for all of us today to recognise that the foundation of everything that is done, in the Lord’s Name and for Him is built upon the basis of Relationship. Relationship, Yes! With one another, but more importantly, relationship with the Lord Himself. Relationship is the first and foremost qualification for service, and relationship is not gained by Church attendance. It’s not found in the continual pressures of doing Good Works. It’s not obtained, by the giving of one’s finances. It is simply through Birth.

You and Your Church

The Christian walk and pathway is one that is fraught with many difficulties and problems, and simply because we know, Jesus Christ as our Saviour does not remove us from these things. In fact, the contrary is often true, hence the Bible typifies the roadway upon which the Christian travels as a “narrow road” but with the wonderful promise about it, being that it leads on unto eternal life.

He Makes All Things New

We live in a (Covid-19 Virus) environment, it’s becoming the “new normal” and in this post-pandemic world many are left with fears, questions, and anxiety.

The toll taken on lives by the virus throughout the world medically and economically is enormous but there is a “new virus” that has infected in an even greater measure. The virus of anxiety and worry.

No Other Name

Scripture: – “Acts 4: 8 to 10“ Text: – “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by  which we must be saved.” – “Acts 4:12“ We are living in a day and generation in which Men and Women are looking for a solution to […]

Caleb a Man of a Different Spirit – Burmese Translation

I must tell you today that when reading the Scripture, the words – “He has a different spirit” or as the King James puts it “He has another spirit in him” – “Numbers 14:24” jumped off the page and grabbed me by the throat. I had never seen the line before let alone recognised how important and foundational it was.

It was so impacting that it drove me to my knees and began to encompass my waking moments and has had an on-going effect upon my journey with the Lord.

I hope that in some manner I can captivate you with it also and that it might truly infect your soul with what it conveys.

I want to centre your attention in this time together on a Bible character called Caleb but before I do let me remind you that there have been many Biblical Men and Women of Faith.
