I’ve been challenged over the past few weeks about where my spiritual eyes are focused and where my treasure is. Strange thing you might say to be considering but is it really. You see, it’s so easy for us to get distracted because of the busy and hectic lives we live. Families, Careers, Holidays, Seasons of Sickness and this does not exclude those reading this meditation that are involved in “full time ministries”.

In the dark mornings there is always a sunrise you just have to wait for the clouds to pass. I tell you today that you are only moments from the break of dawn that you have been waiting for. You are closer that your natural senses are telling you and the defeated Satan wants you to believe.

How often do we weep over a lost and dying world? What about some individual, friend or loved one? Does it really bother us? I am afraid that we may only shed a few tears because we are not totally convinced that the world is really lost. We just do not see clearly the lostness of this world. Perhaps we do not understand the exceeding sinfulness of sin!

Thus, we understand that to be jealous or zealous are in fact the like Siamese twins expressing the same things. As always though, it’s all about the context. The context provides the road map of the different direction of these powerful feelings.

We have a Sovereign God – Right? I trust we answer unequivocally yes to that. It’s a reality that God finds it unacceptable when fear is the dominating and determining emotion in our hearts and minds – Why? It shows a distrust in Him, His care, His Ability and His Sovereignty.

What? Is the question we need to ask ourselves does “Your kingdom come” mean for us today and in our on-going walk with Jesus.

We like the Ephesian Brothers and Sisters are called to live out lives marked with – Faithfulness, Obedience, Generosity of Heart and Compliant to Truth – BUT and let me say BUT again all of this is worthless to Jesus if the exuberance of 1st Love is not the DNA flowing through the midst of it all.

As those IN Christ and when Christ the King of Truth sits on the throne He has established in our hearts then we are privileged to have Freedom from Sin, Freedom from the Power of the Devil, Freedom from Fear, Freedom from the Weight of Tradition, Freedom from Organised Religion along with its bondage.

My sincerest desire today as I write this meditation is to bless and encourage you. I really want to go forward today as you read it with a new spring in your step, a new sense of your possibilities in God and with an encouragement that warms your soul. I awoke, and it was the […]
