Newsletter No 1 – 2017

Announcing our website launch!

First, I thank my God through Jesus the Anointed for all of you because family, and your faith is spreading across the world. For I call God as my witness – whom I worship in my spirit and serve in making known the gospel – He alone knows how often I mention you in my prayers. I find myself constantly praying for you and hoping it’s in God’s will for me to be with you soon. I desperately want to see you so that I can share some gift of the Spirit to strengthen you. Plus, I know that when we come together something beautiful will happen as we are encouraged by each other’s faith.” – “Romans 8: 1 to 11” – The Voice

My Dear Friend and Co-Worker in Christ,

This is my 1st official newsletter there will be regular updates that will be coming. In the up-dates you will hear of those who through the new website have found Christ as Saviour, be kept up-to-date with the proposed new Bible College Project in Burundi and hear the great news of what God has done through your continued support of this ministry.

How do I see you as I write to you?

  • You are more than one who listens to what I say.
  • You are more than one who reads what I write.
  • You are more than one “who gets behind me”.

Yes! You are all of those things but more than that I see you as a “partner, colleague and friend” sharing with me in seeing “souls saved, bodies healed, lives saved, people restored, Churches renewed, and His Glory revealed.”  We are on a marvellous adventure together of “serving God in His harvest field.” Thank you for being – “All In”.

The Gospel costs nothing. You can’t earn it or buy it. It can only be received as compliments of God’s grace. It doesn’t cost anything, but it demands everything. It demands we go “all in” a term that simply means placing all that you have in God’s hands. The message of All In is simple: if Jesus is not Lord of all then Jesus is not Lord at all.

  • Your being “All In” is helping to make it possible for the thousands who are hearing the Gospel and being instructed in the truth of God’s Word.
  • Your being “All In” has and is continuing to enable Churches to be “Enlarged and Encouraged”.
  • Your being “All In” is providing on-going “Evangelism, Teaching and Discipleship Training” in various parts of the world.

It’s an interesting fact that many of the things we say start with the word – Some.

If we want a situation where nothing meaningful gets done, then we just start out speaking and thinking with “some” a lot.

Examples: – Of some uses of “some” words?

  1. Somebody
  2. Someday
  3. Sometime
  4. Something

These words end up sounding like this: – “Somebody should do Something about that Sometime Someday.” These are guaranteed to lead to zero action.

I praise God that you are not a Somebody, Someday, Sometime, Something person but an – “All In go getter, a Make it happen and He who dares wins” – to me you are a “Warrior not a Watcher” person and I thank God for giving to me such a one in my journey of service to our saviour.

We are truly workers together with God (the emphasis being together) and I am so very, very conscious that any perceived success is only due to His Anointing being present upon my ministry from the prayer support of my direct home Church family in Christ at TWCF and others outside of the fellowship.

It’s kind of amazing when you think about it. We all have a part to play in the Kingdom of God. Some of us work in office buildings, some of us work in homes, and some of us work in churches, but we all work together. All are necessary for God’s work to go forward.

On previous occasions thousands have heard the Gospel, 100’s made a commitment to Christ, and many have testified of God’s healing power (from broken bones, terminal cancers, restored hearing and sight) amongst other things. Alongside this His Church has been encouraged (which I have come to increasingly recognise is an important part of that which God has implanted in me) and His Bride has been challenged and many have discovered a new walk in their journey.

All the above is “all of His doing, His grace at work and through His empowering” – Praise His name. “God uses men who are weak and feeble enough to lean on him.”  Is what Hudson Taylor, missionary to China said and I can truly empathise with him in that reality.

Web Site Launch

I’m so delighted to give you the good news that the World Wide Christian Ministries has now been launched. It’s my first foray into this area of ministry. I call it ministry because the website is not at all meant to be a source of “self-aggrandisement.” No! quite the contrary. Its purpose is truly to minister to the needs of the “Wider Church of Jesus Christ” and to be a means of “Winning the Lost for Jesus” – Many years ago, before I started travelling so extensively I had a web site and it was the source of many reported commitments to Jesus. I trust that in this re-birth it will do even greater things for the Kingdom of God.

In order to convey the message of the Gospel to as many as possible when you take a look at any of the YouTube Mission Videos on the web site please hit the “Subscribe Button” that will then enable the site to obtain a higher ranking and bring more people closer to hearing the Gospel and automatically inform you when another video has been uploaded to the Web Site.

Competition

I want to have a “Tag Line” – One such idea is “Reaching hands across the nations”. To me, that does not really convey the ethos and essence of the web site.

The competition is this: –

Take a look at the Web Site and get a feel for its essence, identity and what it is trying to express.

In no more than 2 Sentences put a “Tag Line” together.

Contact me through the Web Site Contact page with your “Tag Line Idea”.

If your is chosen you will be rewarded with a book. What book? Well! I have in my spiritual journey over the past three years been completely revolutionised in my doctrinal thinking – With 40+ years of established thought being “Challenged and Re-Established” it has been (I was told recently by a Pastor friend of my to have been obviously very enriching.)

The Prize Book is “John Piper’s” – The 5 Points and I hope that in its reading you will be “Enriched, Encouraged, Re-Energised and Blown Away” in your new revelation of the “Grace of God”.

God has opened up the doors of opportunity to minister to a number of different groups in the coming year. The trips are going to be very demanding in many areas – Time, Resources, Preparation of Heart and Spirit.

Mission Activities – 2017

Here is the list of missions already booked for this coming year: –

Friday 14th July thru Sunday 16th July

Liege in Belgium

This is a Church I regularly minister in – It’s like a 2nd Home to me. My closest friend is the Pastor and I love to minister to the folk whom I love and desire the very best for.

God has “Healed, Saved, Restored and Renewed” many who are regular attenders and He has met with many who have visited for the 1st time.

Friday 18th August thru Sunday 27th August 2017

Burundi in East Africa

A busy time has been scheduled for the trip.

A Pastor / Leaders Conference. Already 180 Delegates from all over Burundi and other areas have registered for the conference.

The Conference is being conducted over 3 consecutive days with two sessions per day (Tuesday thru Thursday).

I am the sole speaker and to minister on the topics of “Standing Firm in the Ministry” and “The Baptism in the Holy Spirit and Carrying the Spirits Anointing.”

Two Open Air Crusades are planned and prepared for me to preach in on the prospective grounds of the new Bible College that is to be built in Gitega.

These will be “Friday 25th August @1400hrs” and “Saturday 26th August @0900hrs”

These are in addition to the Local Church Services on “Sunday 20th and Sunday 27th”.

Hundreds made a commitment to Christ on my last visit and many testified of healing and I trust that truly “Signs and Wonders will follow the preaching of His Word.”

Wednesday 15th November thru Tuesday 28th November 2017

Buenos Aires – Argentina

There is a very busy time planned with at least 10 preaching engagements and other types of ministry alongside these. There will be more news to follow on this as I am updated in regard to my schedule.

The ministry will be a mixture of – “Evangelism, Teaching and generally Encouraging.”

Inspiring, Equipping, Fulfilling.

These three words describe precisely what the mission activities in the coming year are designed to accomplish. It is a three-fold vision and call to Gods People to action. It is our vision to Inspire and Equip Christians in Fulfilling the Great Commission in all the Countries that are visited in 2017.

The mission trips are designed to accomplish this through Training, Evangelism and Outreaches. Likewise, my desire is to see the people of God receiving and giving within their Churches and Communities – Inspiration, Equipping, and the ability to Fulfil the Great Commission that Jesus has given to us all.

People can ask tough questions like these:

  • “Ok. Go ahead. Prove to me that God exists.”
  • “How can you believe in a loving God given the suffering in our world?”
  • “Does God really answer prayer? My prayers are never answered.”
  • “Why does it have to be Jesus? Why not Buddha, Mohamed, etc.?”
  • “In really tough situations, what exactly can I count on God for?”

On-Going Mission Activities & Support

One thing which I deem to be an absolute is the requirement for a platform of on-going prayer support. I am so aware that anything which has been accomplished – and there is much – has only been achieved because you have been so very faithful in up-holding me before the Lord. His anointing has been experienced in so many ways and His enabling manifested in lots of various circumstances.

Researchers at the University of Virginia have found that most people perceive a hill to be steeper than it really is, especially if they’re tired or carrying a heavy load. When asked to estimate the slope of a hill, test participants consistently misjudged it, thinking a 10degree slope was about 30 degrees, also rating a 5degree slope as nearly 20 degrees. Hardly any of them believed they could be that far off.

There have been times when my slope seemed like 20degrees, but I have found through your prayers that He increases strength. When I have felt over-burdened and exhausted, and even a minor problem seemed too big through your prayers I have discovered that He gives power to the weak.

Isaiah wrote: “The creator of the ends of the earth neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak and to those that have no power, he increases strength” – “Isaiah 40:28-29

Because we can so easily misjudge life’s difficulties, we need courage to keep going when we are tempted to quit. As I take yet another step of faith in my obedience to the Saviour please continue your prayer support.

Mission Activity Financial Support

There have been a number of folks who have so kindly taken both myself and the ministry work I am undertaking to heart and expressed their support in a financial manner. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to you for that.

When they left to tell others about the Lord, they decided not to accept help from anyone who wasn’t a follower. We must support people like them, so that we can take part in what they are doing to spread the truth.” – “3 John 7-9” – CEV

Beloved, you are acting faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the brethren, and especially when they are strangers; and they have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. For they went out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. Therefore, we ought to support such men, so that we may be fellow workers with the truth.” – “3 John 1:5-8

Because of your important role in my life and ministry, I’d like you to share with me in these great opportunities that I believe God is leading me into.  That’s why I’m inviting you to be both a financial and prayer partner in these and on-going missions with me.

Its true today that sometimes missions can be conceptualised as a stool supported by three legs: –

  • Proclaimers, Providers, and Pray-ers (or if the labels were to be changed then it could be (Intercession, Investment, and Involvement).

Without any one of these legs, missions work of any type simply could not be sustained.

God is always faithfulness and He manifests His faithfulness through the giving of His Family the Church.

My Employers are great – They give me “Un-Paid Leave” to carry out my mission activities and whilst they do not understand why anybody would do such things without getting paid to do so and without “expenses and fees” they are happy to give me the time off.

It’s been said “The building never gets built, the needy never get served, and the world never gets changed” without both prayer and financial support and this is very true.

The “story of the adventure in God’s Calling remains incomplete without others and only with others is the story completed” this is equally true.

Vision derives its birth from the Heart of the Father but remains a “fairy tale” and the “unfulfilled aspiration of the visionaries” if not carried and borne along by others.

It’s not a popular subject, but the reality is, it costs money to reach lost people.

Taking an offering or being provided with support isn’t a strategy designed by the church; it’s God’s strategy.

Ever since God opened up the doors of opportunity to me some 6yrs ago my ethos has been as typified by the incident of Peter in “Acts 16:9” – “And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There was a man of Macedonia standing, beseeching him, and saying, come over into Macedonia, and help us.” When asked by Cornelius to “come over and help us”. Peter did not say – “Okay, but my ministry fee is ……. And you will have to pay these expenses” No! He went and God supplied via the “Household of Faith.” Neither do I when a request comes through to me.

2 Corinthians 11:8” – “I robbed other churches by accepting support from them in order to serve you.” If Paul didn’t receive any support –

  • Would the churches in Corinth ever have been planted?
  • Would the church at Rome have understood the grace of God?
  • Would there have been even half as many churches in the New Testament era than there were?

Probably not. Likewise, although not considering myself to be an Apostle Paul – The various areas into which God has called me have as a result of His work through me received in numerous ways a portion of God’s Grace.

To Whom Do We Give?

When the Christian gives, he may give to individuals or to the church, but in the final analysis in doing so he is giving to God see “Proverbs 19:17; Matthew 6:2-4; 22:17-21; Acts 5:4; Romans 14:4-8; 2 Corinthians – 8:5; Colossians 3:22-25

I’m very reticent about approaching brothers and sisters for financial support – I tend foolishly to feel I’m going “cap in hand” for a handout. It’s easy when it’s on another’s behalf but when it’s for oneself then I shudder. I feel so awkward in the process of asking for it in the first place and feel like I’m annoying-the-heck out of the same people, who happen to be the only people I know – like that “pushy lady selling Tupperware down the street.” The whole thing might be great for one’s faith, but it can sure be a killer on one’s pride (but that is a good thing really).

In order that you can both pray and consider if God would have you support this ministry, I am undertaking let me tell you what the costs involved are for the trips ahead.

  • Liege in Belgium – £198.00
  • Burundi in East Africa – £1,850.00
  • Buenos Aires – In Argentina – £1,374.00

If you wish to contribute to any of these on-going activities, then thank you so much.

Donations can be made “Direct from the Website” via “Pay-Pal” or of course “Cheques” can be sent to the address that follows.

God Bless You All as you Serve Jesus with me.
