The £99.99 COVID Jab Rip-Off — When Compassion Becomes a Commodity.
Written by Rev. Albert M. Martin – Worldwide Christian Ministries
I’m seventy-two years old, and as I get older, I realise I’ve grown far less tolerant of what society quietly labels as acceptable.
Things we once would have questioned or resisted are now simply assumed to be fine — stamped with that dreadful phrase, That’s just how it is.
But I find myself wondering: why is it acceptable? And who decided it should be?
We in the UK are a peculiar people. We pride ourselves on being reasonable, polite, not prone to complaining. Perhaps that’s admirable.
But I’m beginning to see that this quiet endurance — this national stiff-upper-lip — also leaves us wide open to those who would take advantage of it.
Because when you never push back, when you never challenge, when you assume others are acting in good faith — you invite those who are not to – screw you, profit off you, and step on you while convincing you it’s all perfectly normal.
That might sound blunt, but I’ve lived long enough to call things what they are.
A Personal Encounter That Brought It Home.
A few days ago, I had a personal encounter that brought it home.
I rang my local medical practice for a repeat prescription — something routine, something I’ve had for years.
Instead of speaking to a doctor, I had to have a Telephone Consultation and was told I would get a telephone call from the practice’s clinical pharmacist. Now, I’ve nothing against pharmacists, but this one flatly refused to issue my medication. Even after a rational discussion, there was no consideration — just a firm no.
I could have accepted it — many would, I guess. However, the next day I attended the medical practice and asked, calmly and clearly, to speak with a doctor. I was told that I had to make a request via the dreaded anime app. I did so, and I made it clear that I would be reporting the incident and filing a complaint with the GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council).
And guess what? Within two or three hours, a doctor from the very same practice called me. He reviewed my situation, apologised, and overruled the pharmacist completely.
That’s when it hit me: had I just accepted the refusal, I’d have gone without what I was entitled to — something I’ve paid for through over forty years of National Insurance contributions.
I’m not a moaney old man. I’m a man who’s had enough of being brushed aside by systems that bank on public passivity. Because the moment you stop standing up for what’s rightfully yours, you stop being a citizen — and start being a customer.
And that’s exactly the quiet shift happening in our country today. We’re being trained to accept — and pay for — things that were once freely given. We’re being softened up to believe that profit and care can share the same bed.
And nowhere is that more obvious than in the latest scandal quietly creeping across our high streets: the £99.99 COVID jab.
The Real Cost — Hidden in Plain Sight.
According to official government and NHS data, the true cost to deliver a single dose of the COVID-19 vaccine — including the ampoule, storage, and staff time — averages around £25.00 throughout the UK.
Here’s the breakdown:
- £15.00 — the cost of the vaccine itself (Pfizer/Moderna, procured by the UK Government)
- £7.54 — payment to GPs or pharmacies for administering it
- £2–3 — logistics, cold-chain, disposal, admin
That’s it — around £25 per jab all in.
And yet, across the UK, pharmacies are selling that same jab to the public for an average of £99.99.
THAT’S NOT HEALTHCARE. THAT’S A RIP-OFF IN A WHITE COAT.
Who’s Charging What?
It’s not just the big players like Boots and Superdrug. Even smaller independents are cashing in on the same scheme.
- Allington Pharmacy (Maidstone) — owned by Prayosha Healthcare Ltd, a former Lloyds Pharmacy branch now privately operated.
- Link Pharmacy — owned by Link Pharmacy Ltd, an independent company with multiple community branches.
Both offer private COVID vaccinations — and both advertise the same staggering price tag: £99.99 per dose. They’ll tell you it covers special storage or professional care.
But those exact same costs were already built into the NHS structure — and the total still came to £25.
So, let’s be honest: what you’re really paying for isn’t a higher standard of care.
YOU’RE PAYING FOR THEIR MARGIN — AND THEIR SILENCE DEPENDS ON OURS.
300% Markup — On a Public Health Lifeline.
In business terms, a 300% markup is a masterstroke. However, in moral terms, it’s a scandal.
This is a vaccine developed with public money, distributed through public systems, and proven by public trials. And now, that same jab — once a symbol of unity and hope — is being sold back to the very people who funded it, at four times the real cost.
- It’s like watching someone take the lifeboat you helped build, repaint it, and charge you rent to climb aboard.
- It’s like helping bake bread for a starving community, only to be told you can’t eat unless you buy the “artisan” version.
- It’s like funding a fire brigade, then getting an invoice when they save your house.
- It’s like donating to build a hospital, and then being told the entry fee has doubled because “demand is high.”
- It’s like giving blood freely — and seeing it sold back to the sick in a vial with a barcode.
Every one of those pictures tells the same story: The people who made it possible are now the ones being priced out of it.
THAT’S NOT CLEVER ECONOMICS — IT’S MORAL BANKRUPTCY DISGUISED AS HEALTHCARE.
IT’S THE MONETISING OF MERCY — THE QUIET PRIVATISATION OF COMPASSION.
The Numbers Don’t Lie
Category | NHS Cost (per dose) | Private Price (per dose) |
---|---|---|
Vaccine purchase | £15.00 | £15–£20 |
Admin cost | £ 7.54 | £7.54 |
Storage & disposal | £ 2.50 | £2.50 |
Total True Cost | ≈ £25.00 | ≈ £25–30 |
Public Selling Price | Free (via NHS) | £99.99 |
Profit Margin | — | ≈ £70–75 per dose (≈ 300%) |
So, for every 100 doses sold privately, a pharmacy can pocket around £7,000–£7,500 profit.
That’s not covering costs — that’s cashing in.
We’re Letting It Happen.
Here’s the uncomfortable truth: they’re getting away with it because we’re letting them. We’ve been conditioned to think that private healthcare automatically means premium care — that a high price must equal high quality. But this isn’t Harley Street surgery or bespoke cancer treatment.
It’s the same jab that thousands received in village halls, leisure centres, and GP car parks. And every time we shrug and mutter, That’s just how it is, we tighten the noose around our own necks.
We’re teaching profiteers that we won’t fight back — that we’ll pay, grumble, and move on.
It starts with £99.99 for a vaccine – What’s next?
- Next comes £199 for a test.
- Then £299 for a fast-tracked appointment.
- Then £499 for early access to results.
Before you know it, the NHS we’re proud of has been chipped away — not by politicians, but by public apathy.
Silence isn’t neutral. It’s consent. And if we, the people, stay quiet while the cost of care is inflated for corporate gain, we become part of the problem.
The Real Scandal.
This isn’t just about one jab — it’s about the slow, silent commercialisation of care. We’re watching the heart of the NHS being auctioned off piece by piece, with the public’s trust used as the marketing tool. And if we don’t push back, we’ll soon wake up in a country where compassion costs extra, and healing has a price list.
Let’s be clear: This isn’t clever marketing — it’s exploitation in a lab coat.
Faith, Justice, and the Price of Compassion.
For those who live by faith, this isn’t just a fiscal issue — it’s a spiritual betrayal.
- Jesus didn’t invoice the blind.
- He didn’t hand the leper a receipt.
- He didn’t monetise miracles.
He simply said, Freely you have received; freely give. (Matthew 10:8)
- When compassion becomes a commodity, we’ve lost the plot.
- When mercy becomes a margin, we’ve traded the Kingdom for a cash register.
IT’S NOT ONLY UNCHRISTIAN — IT’S INHUMANE.
Time to Call It Out.
This exposé isn’t about shaming local pharmacists or front-line workers — they’re not the villains here. NHS front-line workers are heroes, and we should still be hitting our pots and pans in appreciation.
The real accountability lies with the corporate owners and private limited companies — those like Prayosha Healthcare Ltd (behind Allington Pharmacy), Link Pharmacy Ltd, and the national chains quietly building profit models on what was once a public service.
They’re cashing in on trust. They’re turning a national good into a business franchise. And if we don’t call it out now, we’ll only have ourselves to blame when the next public health service comes with a checkout screen.
The Challenge.
- If we say nothing, nothing changes.
- If we speak the truth, at least the silence is broken.
Every time we refuse to normalise greed disguised as “private care,” we reclaim a little of the moral ground that built the NHS in the first place.
BECAUSE HEALTHCARE — TRUE HEALTHCARE — ISN’T ABOUT PROFIT MARGINS. IT’S ABOUT PEOPLE.
It’s about compassion without condition. And that’s something no corporation should ever be allowed to own.
Conclusion.
Why not go to WEBCHECK LIMITED overview – Find and update company information – GOV.UK — look up the owners of your local pharmacy and write a “letter of complaint” to the Directors / Owners and convey your feelings about the Great Covid Rip-Off.
TRUTH WITH COMPASSION. COURAGE WITH CONVICTION. FAITH WITH FIRE.
I kind of agree with this, but not regarding the Covid jab. That should never have been given to a human and the amount of lies behind all that and them wanting to hide it for 75 years is criminal in my eyes. These jabs have killed millions according to some statistics and have altered the God given DNA. The games the government played to scare everyone silly is so evil. There are perfectly safe and ‘old’ remedies that helped ‘Covid’, but they would never have made the big pharma their billions. Everywhere I look I see people who got cancer, autoimmune diseases, fertility issues, baby deaths, and so, so many new and extreme things since the jab rollout. So in my eyes, if people are still taking this poison developed by people who said there were too many people on this planet and they had ways of improving that, it should cost thousands of pounds to deter anyone taking it. Time to trust God and not Pharma!
