Text: – “Romans 12:1-2”
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” – KJ
Scripture: – “1 Corinthians 12: 14-27”
Introduction: –
Let me start by saying to you in the words of the song writer: –
Our God is not dead
He’s surely alive
He’s living on the inside
Roaring like a lion
How is your Roar today.?
In this time, together today my desire is to not just preach but minister to you.
There is a fact today that I want to share with you; and let me say that whether we accept it or not makes no difference to its truth and it is “that long before you were ever born the Lord knew you.” The Scripture declares in “Psalm 31:15a” – “My times are in thy hand” and that being true indicates to me that in God’s book all of my days are written. God created you and He created me for a specific purpose and it’s a purpose that only you and I as individuals can fulfil. We are a people of destiny, please hear and understand me when I say that we are a people of destiny!!! He has implanted within you and me dreams, desires and aspirations and they under His anointing will propel you and them towards His glory.
The unfortunate thing is though that we find ourselves accepting insipid, diluted and inferior lives. We end up all too often, putting those dreams, desires and aspirations aside in order to function in what we call the “real world.”
That being the case I want to tell you today in no uncertain terms “don’t let Discouragement, the Demands of daily life and the Advancement of time, rob you of God’s best for you!” There are times when we think that our world is being turned upside down but have you ever stopped to think that perhaps God is actually turning it the right way up.!
I have travelled extensively over this past 5 or 6yrs and on many occasions, I have found myself ministering to people who are part of the family of God who are “demoralised, disenchanted with Church and disillusioned over what they though life would be like as Christians.”
These are “good people” but they are people who have failed to realise that those “deep desires and longings, those dreams” that just won’t go away are in us for a purpose – and it is God’s purpose and plan for our lives.
Let me ask you a question at this point – “Do you know what your God-given purpose is?” If you do, then that’s great. However, there are many who do not and they say “Okay! You say God has a purpose for me, why can I not find it?” If that is, you today then don’t worry. The reality is that the Lord has made it easy for you to get on the right path to finding and fulfilling His plan for your life. Okay! this is seeming easy to say and may even sound cliché; but the reality is – He really does.
Discover the Dr Who Tardis of Surrender (It’s Bigger Inside Than You Think)
What’s the purpose of life? Why was I created? Why am I here? Are these statements that you have heard before? Perhaps, you have asked them yourselves. If they are and you are still puzzled, then let me say to you that you need to start at the beginning and where is that? It is the place of surrender.
What are the 2 most important words that should be found on the lips, in the mind and firmly embedded in the heart? The two words are YES LORD. The two words are the foundation of discovering and living in His Will and plan for our lives.
When I was teaching in Kenya at the Nairobi Pentecostal Bible College I introduced the theme of Yes Lord to the Students and even to this day those I am in communication with still remember and apply the two words Yes Lord to every aspect of their lives and ministry.
If we are not prepared to surrender, then the discovery and our out-working of His plan will be impeded and can possibly take years. In some it brings years of frustration, inactivity and fruitlessness. This is all the opposite of his purposes. He wants us fruitful and in fruitfulness we discover a sense of fulfilment – “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and so shall ye be my disciples” – “John 15:8” American Standard Version.
In “Romans 12:1” the Apostle Paul shows this to us. He had discovered in his life and the lives of those around him that the only way to Freedom is Surrender the only way to Understanding is Surrender the only way to Fulfilment is Surrender and he recognised it so clearly that he begged those he preached and ministered to do so. Chapter 12 has more commands in it than any other chapter of the New Testament. It is a Chapter of Action! It also reveals Paul’s thesis for life that being: Beliefs should impact behaviour.
The Message Version puts Verse 1 in this way – “Take your everyday, ordinary life, your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life and place it before God as an offering” We like to compartmentalise our lives – This bit is for my Family, this bit is for my Work, this bit is for my hobbies and Oh Yes this bit is for the Lord. However, that’s not how it should be.
Let me give you an example. – “Luke 18: 1” – “And He (Jesus) spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint” KJV the Message puts it this way – “pray consistently and never quit” and in “1: Thessalonians 5:17” Paul says to “pray without ceasing” KJV the Message says “Pray all the time”
What are we being told here? Paul is not referring to non-stop talking, but rather an attitude of God-consciousness that we carry with us all the time. Every waking moment is to be lived in an awareness that God is with us and that He is actively involved and engaged in our thoughts and actions.
For the Child of God, prayer should be like breathing. I’m sure that during this time together no one has given a thought to the need to breathe. The very atmosphere we live in exerts pressure on our lungs and we are essentially forced to breathe. Try this for a moment – Hold your Breath – Okay! Now what was easier Breathing or Holding Your Breath – Of course Breathing.
When we enter the family of God what in reality happens is that we enter into another spiritual atmosphere where God’s presence and grace exert pressure and influence in our lives. It is the atmosphere of Christs Kingdom. When Jesus declared in “John 18: 36” – “My Kingdom is Not of This World” He was not saying His kingdom was an ephemeral, internal religious experience that didn’t impinge on the economic, political, or social issues of the world in which we live No! He was simply declaring that His kingdom is instead from another realm where the atmosphere is totally different.
As Children of God we have all been transported into a divine atmosphere to breathe the air of prayer. Unfortunately, though, many Christians hold their “spiritual breath” for long periods, thinking brief moments with God are sufficient to allow them to survive – Let me say IT’s NOT. To state the obvious to be fully functional you have got to breathe.
Likewise, when Paul tells us to “Present our bodies as a living sacrifice” he is wanting us to understand that we should be living a God-surrendered life lived in the knowledge that We Are Kingdom Children and that a surrendered life impacts everyone, everything and everywhere we go.
In surrendered lives, we are placed in a position where we start to see things through God’s eyes and not through our limited vision and the horizons are limitless.
So, in His Kingdom Atmosphere let’s take a look at what Surrender Looks Like and what Surrender Produces together from those two verses of “Romans 12: 1-2”
Christianity has many paradoxes, or seemingly illogical aspects, that challenge the intellect and selfishness of the human heart but one thing is absolutely clear and that is that it SURRENDER is one essential principle that is still a requirement for successful Christian living
1. The Foundation of our Surrender: The Mercies of God
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God” – “Romans 12: 1a” KJV
We remarkably and wonderfully today are in a unique and special position – It is a Position of Mercy – We deserve Justice but God has instead provided His Mercy. The reality today as we sit here is that as sinners God did not give us what we deserve – and what is that – His eternal wrath in hell. It is clearly stated in “Ephesians 2: 3” that by nature we are “Children of Wrath.”
Outside of Christs Work and the Mercy of God we stand in a position of depravity our rebellion against God is total, everything we do in this rebellion is sinful, and it gives a total inability to submit to Him. He however Scripture says in “Ephesians 2:1 – 6” – “It wasn’t so long ago that you were mired in that old stagnant life of sin. You let the world, which doesn’t know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience. We all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat. It’s a wonder God didn’t lose his temper and do away with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us!” – The Message
We have received a Grace Gift the Gift of His Mercy. In His mercy, we have received His Forgiveness. In His mercy, we have been Justified, we have been Sanctified and we are declared Holy in His sight.
The overcoming of our deadness and rebellion against God is not performed decisively by us so that we then qualify for the atonement. God’s sovereign grace overcomes our deadness and rebellion. And that grace is purchased for us in the death of Christ.
If we want to go deeper in our experience of God’s grace, there is an ocean of love for us to enjoy. God does not mean for the bride of his Son to only feel loved with general, world-embracing love. He means for her to feel ravished with the specificity of his affection that he set on her before the world existed. He means for us to feel a focused: “I chose you. And I sent my Son to die to have you.” – Piper, John (2013-11-10). Five Points (Kindle Locations 612-617)
I have been personally so blessed to recognise afresh that when it says in “John 10: 15” – “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd will give his life for the sake of his sheep.” JB Phillips – and that I was counted as one of His Sheep and also that I was chosen to be given to Jesus and that on the 4th April 1968 the gift was presented to Him. In “John 17:24” it says “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.”
Outside of the Gift of His Mercy we would not have been able to submit to God in fact there would not even had been a desire to seek Him both are His gifts to us.
The Book of Romans is a wonderful book but it is equally profound in its revelations and requirements. There are 16 Chapters in all and I don’t think it to be insignificant that Paul the writer utilises the initial 11 Chapters to Reveal the Depths of God’s Gracious Purpose and Plan for the redemption of sinful humans. The 1st 11 Chapters are all Devoted to Doctrine and there is a sudden transition from Doctrine to Practice.
Why does the Holy Spirit lead him in such a manner? I believe it is because there is a fundamental requirement for the Church of Jesus Christ to recognise that Theology forms the practical foundation of the Christian walk.
If you listen today to many iconic preachers today and read much of what is written there is an emphasis on the “how to” of Christianity without the balance of Theology. Congregations have become accustomed to hearing 30minute snacks on Christian Practicalities without understanding the Foundations upon which these Practicalities need to be successful.
It has produced a generation of Gods People who are in need of constant counselling and a windfall for Christian Counsellors. I am not at all declaring that we are producing Snake Oil Addiction but I am saying that a major result is that the Gospel of Grace has been distorted and become a message of moralism and perverted into a religion of legalism.
It is essential for us to first see the magnitude of God’s grace, before we can hope to properly do our duties as His people. This is what I mean when I say that the mercies of God are the Foundation for our Surrender to God! If I put it in another way and to coin, the phrase of another Paul the apostle is encouraging us to turn our “Theology” into “Walkology.”
2. The Nature of our Surrender: Total Surrender
“Take your everyday, ordinary life – your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life – and place it before God as an offering.” – “Romans 12: 1b” The Message
The story is told of a Lady who went to her Pastor and said – “What does it mean to be a living sacrifice?” asked a woman to her pastor. The Pastor proceeded to hold out a blank sheet of paper, the Pastor replied, “It is to sign your name at the bottom of this blank sheet, and let God fill it in as he wills.”
I also came across the following story which serves as an excellent example of Total Surrender. The story is told of an aged pastor of a little Scottish church. He was asked to resign because there had been no conversions in the church for an entire year. “Aye,” said the old preacher, “it has been a lean year, but there was one.” “One conversion?” asked an elder, “Who was it?” “Wee Bobbie,” replied the pastor. They had forgotten a lad who had not only been saved but had given himself in full consecration to God. It was “Wee Bobbie” who, in a missionary meeting when the plate was passed for an offering, asked the usher to put the plate on the floor. He then stepped into it with his bare feet, saying, “I’ll give myself, I have nothing else to give.” Wee Bobbie became the world-renowned Robert Moffatt who, with David Livingstone, gave his life to healing the open sores of the continent of Africa
When you read, what Paul had to say in respect of surrender the two illustrations are perfect to understand what he had in his mind when he under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit declared that we are “to offer your bodies as living sacrifices.” That is what Robert Moffatt (the Wee Bobbie) did. That is what is expected of each Child of God.
Let me ask you a question – Are you a Worshiper.? The reason I ask it is because the Living Sacrifice the Bible is speaking of is in fact relating to Worship. It is translated in a variety of way: –
- Intelligent Worship – JB Phillips Version
- Spiritual Service – American Standard Version
- An offering – The Message
- Reasonable Service – King James
All of them when analysed denote an Attitude of Worship.
What is Total Surrender?
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” – “Proverbs 3:5-6”
When we first received Jesus as Saviour we acknowledged Jesus as Lord and to have a Lord is to surrender authority and dominance to him. To surrender implies that there is a giving up of resistance to the power of another, in this case, it means accepting the superiority of someone else.
To surrender means the end of the fight, and there is no more argument. It is the solid realisation that His way is a better way. It certainly is Not Defeat because this surrendering provides Victory in all things.
Total Surrender as far as the Bible is concerned means that the Christian decides put away the old ways of thinking, speaking and living, and to have them replaced with Christ-like ways.
The lifestyle of the Non-Christian is portrayed as one that is “self-centred” one that is “living without eternal purpose” and one that is “ultimately leading to destruction.” In contrast, the Christian surrendered to the lordship of Jesus Christ is secure, sailing on a well-defined course with a rock-solid future.
We live in a world which continually saturates us with information, and is totally geared towards the promotion of reliance on intelligence and education. Self-reliance is such a deceptive trap. We begin to pride ourselves in something – our savvy, our looks, our intellect, our spirituality, our family, whatever. In doing so our trust in the Lord is diminished. It has become trust in self. The result is a dangerous compromise that will lead to destruction.
It is totally the opposite to that which Scriptures declares – To trust the Lord and not one’s own understanding is almost unthinkable. However, we cannot get away from the fact that this is the Very Core, the Very Nucleus of what surrender means.
If today you are a Children of God today then You Are or Should Be acknowledging God at every step, living a life of total trust in His miracle power and perfect plan.
Oswald Chambers says: – Our motive for surrender should not be for any personal gain at all. We have become so self-centred that we go to God only for something from Him, and not for God Himself. It is like saying, “No, Lord, I don’t want you; I want myself. But I do want You to clean me and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I want to be on display in Your showcase so I can say, ‘This is what God has done for me.’ Gaining heaven, being delivered from sin, and being made useful to God are things that should never even be a consideration in real surrender.”
3. The Means of our Surrender: Renewal of the Mind
“God re-mould your minds from within”– “Romans 12: 2a” – JB Phillips
“the renewing of your mind” – “Romans 12: 2a” – American Standard Version & King James
Scripture in no uncertain terms identifies for us as the following aphorism says – As the Heart is So a Man Thinks – it is stated in the following way – “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he” – “Proverbs 23:7a” Authorised – it’s taken somewhat out of context but this does not alter its truth.
Our general conception of sin is that it is a peripheral and outward only expression of our nature. It’s true that it is capable of exerting enormous influence over our lives but the reality is that the expressions of sin (Anger, Malice, Swearing, Hatred, Pride, Avarice…….) are in reality only the outward manifestation of a corrupt and defiled heart.
Since sin is lodged firmly within the heart of man and we are responsible for its on-going power over us. Does that seem hard and harsh? I guess so! But it is the truth and we are all susceptible and none are immune.
When you look at an individual you will always firstly see what they want you to see however spend time with them and listen to them and you will determine their character and the reason for that is that “A man or women is literally what they think, their characters being the complete sum of all their thoughts.”
Men and Women without exception can only rise to be conquers by lifting up their thoughts. If the lifting does not happen then they can only remain weak, abject, and miserable and the only real way for this lifting is by: Regulating, Disciplining and Controlling What Goes In. If a person is not a child of God, the battle is entirely lost because the Power of Sin has not been broken.
He Jesus however Breaks the Power Conquered Sin in the lives of His friends – Releasing, Empowering and Supporting them.
Hence the Scriptures say in “Philippians 4:8-9” – “Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious – the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.” The Message
I really like the final phrase that is used in that Scripture from Philippians when it says: – “God, who makes everything work together, will work you into His most excellent harmonies” because the whole work of Calvary and the on-going work of the Holy Spirit is to bring us into His most excellent harmonies.
In Luke: 7 the religious of the day came to Jesus and His disciples with condemnation and criticism over what they considered to be a failure to keep the religious rules of the day and Jesus very firmly put them in their place saying – “This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me – “Luke:7: 6” ……. “Oh, are you as dull as they are?” he said. “Can’t you see that anything that goes into a man from outside cannot make him ‘common’ or unclean? You see, it doesn’t go into his heart, but into his stomach, and passes out of the body altogether, so that all food is clean enough. But, he went on, whatever comes out of a man, that is what makes a man ‘common’ or unclean. For it is from inside, from men’s hearts and minds, that evil thoughts arise – lust, theft, murder, adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, arrogance and folly! All these evil things come from inside a man and make him unclean!” – “Luke 7: 18-23” JB Phillips
Let me tell you and I hope this will encourage you – You are not “Common! You are not Unclean” Why! Because in your New Birth experience you have been “Washed and you have been made into Kings & Priests.” Sure, it’s true we struggle but there is a reason for that which we shall look at in a moment – but let me remind you again – you have been “Washed and you have been made into Kings & Priests.”
If you have a Garden two things can happen to it: –
- It can be Cultivated
- It can be Neglected
What are you doing with yours – I am of course referring to the Gardens of our Hearts. In a very real sense a garden has to be brought into subjection, it has to be brought to a place of surrender and until that place is arrived at it will always be a Neglected Garden. Our Hearts and Minds are like gardens which can be intelligently cultivated or allowed to run wild. Whether cultivated though or neglected, they will and must produce a crop of some sort.
If there is an absence of good seeds then of a necessity an abundance of useless weed seeds will grow and fill the voids that are left, and as the Scripture says they will “produce after their own kind.” A plant find’s its birth from the seed, and likewise every act of a man springs from the hidden seeds of thought, and could not have appeared without them. Even those acts we define as “spontaneous” or “unpremeditated” find their birthing from the same source.
If you are a Child of God today, then our earnest desire will be to be a “Worshiping People” worshipping because of His great Mercy and His great Grace that is upon us. Today! We are changed people – Let me repeat that for you and if I were Jesus I would say “If you have ears to hear” Today! We are changed people.
That change is reflected in Our Walk, In our Talk and in our Personalities. When we surrender ourselves to God our Thinking is Changed and we live, not as self-centred, but a Christ-cantered life. The world seeks constantly to pressure our mind from without, but He gives to the surrendered release by His power within.
4. The Result of our Surrender: Discernment of God’s Will
“You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognise what He wants from you, and quickly respond to it.”– “Romans 12: 2b” – The Message
In the years that I have been a Christian, and throughout my time of serving the Lord which is now some 48yrs amongst other things one thing has been apparent to me and that is that as the Children of God we seem to be constantly Seeking to Know the Will of God rather than Getting on and doing it. A great preacher David Newington once said “People are constantly asking God His business and failing to hear Him say “Mind your own business.” You know, there is a lot of truth in that.
God has revealed His fundamental will via His Word and most of the time if the truth is said “We seek because we do not like what we hear or see.” Sure! I’m saying that there are important issues and decisions that need to be made in life and to seek His face on those matters is vital. However, for the normal day to day Christian walk He has made His will blatantly clear.
We live in an age which wants everything instantly – “Instant Coffee, Instant Tea, Instant Gratification, Instant Internet Access” and I could go on but the reality is that when it comes to knowing God’s Will it is invariably – A Revelation that is Limited and also Progressive.
The Result of our Surrender means that there is a Recognition of Mysteries to Embrace
As the Church and as Those that make up the Church there is a fundamental requirement for us to Embrace Mystery.
We are a Spiritual Entity that finds its Expression in the Natural World that brings with it its own special difficulties one of which is the Mysteries we have to accept. When we talk about Mysteries in the realm of God’s Will we are talking about “something that outside the range of our normal human activity and understanding. Things that can only be understood through divine revelation and brought about by divine activity”
Think about it for a moment – The majority of things we affirm as central to our Christian faith is somewhere in Scripture referred to as a mystery.
- The mystery of God “I Corinthians 2:1 & 7”
- We are servants and stewards of God’s mysteries “I Corinthians 4:1”
- The mystery of God’s will “Ephesians 1:9”
- The mystery of Christ “Ephesians 3:4”
- The mystery of the Gospel “Ephesians 6:19”
- The mystery of marriage which is applied to Christ and the Church “Ephesians 5:31-32”
- The mystery of Christ in you, the hope of glory “Colossians 1:27”
- God’s mystery which is Christ himself “Colossians 2:2”
- The mystery of the faith “I Timothy 3:9”
and these are just a few of them
If we today are not comfortable with mystery that is contained in our walk with Christ and our relationship with our Father, then in reality we are not comfortable with the very gospel we proclaim.
Thus, in light of our topic of Surrender we have to conclude that our journey of transformation requires some measure of willingness to relinquish control and give ourselves over to a process that we cannot fully understand nor can we predict the outcome. Only in doing so will His purpose become clear and especially a recognition of our Gifts/Gifting’s in Jesus.
The Result of our Surrender means that there is a Need to Recognise that the Revelation of God’s may require our goals to change
Trust God – Right Now – God has given you all that you need to fulfil His purpose in your life, now you are called to obey.
If we take time to think further about that statement I am sure that it would not sit well with everybody.
You say to me – What is my purpose? – It’s not an unreasonable questing to ask – But! What do you do when He appears to be silent? Do you get sullen and annoyed and throw your toys out of the pram? I hope not, because we are called to trust. God is never silent! He is always speaking – Just pick up the Bible and read and you and I hear His voice.
One thing is very clear “obedience has no negative consequences!” but alongside this “When we live outside of obedience and surrender, we will never fulfil our purpose, we will miss out on what God has in store us, and our careers, our family, and our joy will never be God’s best for us.”
The Result of our Surrender means a Recognition that the Revelation requires that our goals in the context of the total person God has made us to be may change.
God can do anything – Am I right? Of course, He can. When I look at my life and especially the last 5yrs I am amazed at God’s grace and especially dumfounded over His plans that have been progressively outworking. I am discovering that I am having to re-evaluate my future goals in light of His Revelation to me.
The but experiences of biblical saints and I have to confess my personal experience reveals that God doesn’t give all the details at once while we are fulfilling our purpose. Instead, He often provides just enough information to help us move forward one step at a time.
I will add to your expression – That’s very annoying – but it helps our faith to grow and enhances our relationship with our Father at the same time. We have a multifaceted and living relationship with Him – Its dynamic, collaborative and very exciting.
If we live in Surrender then and we keep the dialogue open with Him, and we pay attention to the road signs He provides along the way plus listen to Him speak to us through His Word and the Holy Spirit. Then we can be confident that He will show us when we are in or out of His will.
My personal attitude has always been – “You shall hear a word behind you saying – This is the way walk in it – When you step out of it”
Conclusion: –
We have considered some very hard hitting things in this session together but I trust that we will not feel discouraged or dismayed because I am very sure that when God says: – “for I know the plans I have for you…plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” – “Jeremiah 29:11” are entirely true and dependable.
Remember you’re in a battle. In his book, “The Believer’s Armor,” John MacArthur writes, “You have all the resources, power and principles to live the Christian life. . . Even though power is available to follow godly principles, the enemy wants to withstand any good thing that God sets out to do. He will attempt to thwart God’s divine purpose for your life.”
The great thing is though – We may at times lose the battle but we know THE WAR IS ALREADY WON at Calvary with the words “It is finished” and the fact that Christ has risen in the power of a resurrection life.
- What Does Calvary Tell Us: – It Expresses the Love of God
- What Does the Resurrection in the New Testament Tell Us: – It Explains the Power of God and the resurrection of Jesus Christ reveals God’s Base Line His Standard of Measurement and Reveals His Standard of Proof and Power.
- Surrendered people are Changed People.
- Surrendered People Are Touched by Calvary and Inspired by Resurrection Life and this is reflected in their walk, their talk, and their personality.
- Surrendered people live not Self-Centred, but a Christ-Centred Lives
- Surrender is a moulding process.
“Remember that fulfilling your God-given purpose is a journey, not a destination; it’s a process which includes preparation (which feel like pit stops) and delays (which feel like detours). But God is never in a hurry, He’s always in control and is completely able to get you where we need to go too complete in you what He started” – “Philipians 1:6”
Paul at the very beginning entreated us with the words “Brethren I beseech you by the mercies of God” these mercies reveal His grace towards us. His grace is confounding.
Are you today: –
- Longing for completeness?
- Longing for permanence?
- Longing for Stability and Security?
Then let me tell you: –
- “He is infinite” – and that answers our longing for completeness.
- “He us eternal” – and that answers our longing for permanence.
- “He is unchangeable” – and that answers our longing for stability and security.”
Jesus Christ into your life then congratulations, it's great to know you have joined the family of God.God is a rock of strength in a world of quicksand – God like an oak tree in the wind of adversity and confusion
Nothing can compare with our God
The three adjectives for the will of God:
“Good” – “Acceptable” – “Perfect” are not three different levels of God’s will
The will of God is all three of these things at the same time.
